Hyozanryu is the main antagonist of the book “Crawlum Multiverse: The Dragon’s Fortress”, a heroic fantasy novel of my authorship. The novel relates the adventures of the Jeath, a young man who, at the moment of attempting suicide, is transported by a mysterious magic to another dimension. There he finds himself in a city in the middle of a valley, enslaved by four powerful dragons, of which Hyozanryu is the leader.
Character’s pitch
Hyozanryu is a spellcaster dragon, leader of the guardian dragons of the Fortress. His skin is sheltered with pearl-colored scales and his wings are covered with feathers like angels’ ones. His head is adorned with three horns, two of which emerge from the back of his head and the third one on his forehead, like the horn of a unicorn. Inlaid in his chest there is the diamond from which he was born and that is, in fact, the source of his magic.
Character’s applications
For the release of the novel a special edition in hard cover with colored illustrations was printed. This edition has an alternative cover in which the Jeath, the main character, faces the dragon Hyozanryu.
This illustration was animated to be used in the advertising trailer of the novel.
Finally, as part of the character design, a logotype was designed inspired in Hyozanryu’s silhouette and personality.
