Cyril Cardoso and his consulting firm Audalom are leaders in business management innovation. In his new book Cardoso shares 21^st century efficient management techniques.

Making of the Magnificent Manager

The original title of the publication was “Le glandeur magnifique” (“The magnificent slacker” in French), since the premise was to lighten the manager’s workload through an efficient delegation of tasks to his team.

The book is intended to be published in comic book format, so the cover was needed to match that style. For this purpose I made new drafts in which the manager was presented as a comic book superhero in his office.

The editorial team liked the idea of a super manager, as well as the use of the jacket as a superhero’s cape. Among the proposals made for the cover, I made one with a female character as the main character, to encourage gender parity in companies.

The editorial team was happy with the proposal, but they wanted to keep the male character as well. As both characters were represented on the cover, in the end they decided to change the title to “Les Managers Magnifiques” (“The Magnificent Managers”).
